The time has come and seven years have again elapsed
All aboard the most famous ghost ship in history for Wagner's seafaring epic of devilish curses and unexpected romance. A wonderful initiation to the composer, The Flying Dutchman's vivid and stirring score will have your heart soaring at the rate of knots as the Dutchman seeks to end his hellish immortality!
What is it about?
Many years ago, an unlucky sea-captain invoked the name of Satan whilst navigating stormy seas. As a punishment, Satan himself cursed the captain to roam the seas for eternity, never reaching home ports. But there is way out, every seven years he may alight on land where if he can, he may seek a wife who'll be true to to him and break the curse.
When yet another seven years come around, the Dutchman encounters a mortal captain, Dagland and his eligible daughter Senta, who just happens to be be obsessed with the legend of the Flying Dutchman...
