Hershey Felder Explores the life, music and soul of Chopin
Celebrating its 50th season in 2019, Theatreworks now boldly moves into the future under the guidance of brand new Artistic Director Tim Bond following the retirement of founder and driving force Robert Kelley. Bond flies the troupe's flag ever higher during a diverse, multi-cultural and innovative 2020/21 program of works old and new at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre.
Theatreworks welcomes renowned actor, pianist, and playwright Hershey Felder in a stunning recounting of the iconic Romantic era composer Fryderyk Chopin's life and works. Hershey Felder As Monsieur Chopin transports the audience to Chopin's salon, where a real-life music lesson takes place, just days after the Polish revolution in 1848. As the lesson unfolds, so do exquisite melodies, secrets about the art of the piano and intriguing insights in the very soul of Chopin.
